Adding ginger to your arsenal for living a vibrant and long life makes sense.  Ginger is not only good for cooking in desserts, vegetable, meat and fish dishes but also has great anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits.

Ginger is available in powdered or fresh raw form.  Fresh raw ginger is best for medicinal purpose by preparing it into a tea or juice:

  • Make ginger tea by peeling the skin off the ginger root, cutting it into thin slices and boiling it in water.
  • Juice the ginger root by peeling off the skin and adding it into your juicer.

Add honey and lemon juice to make the tea or juice more palatable.  Drink the ginger beverage after meals or after a particular grueling exercise to ease joint and muscle pain.
