Matthew 6:33
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
What do you do first thing in the morning? Do you brush your teeth, eat breakfast, and kiss your mate?
If you said yes to all of these questions, that is how most of us start off our mornings and there is nothing wrong with that. But it wasn’t until I added a little something more that turned out to make a HUGE difference – my days and my life began to change for the better.
So what is the secret to my success? Putting God first during my morning routine. Not only thanking Him for another day, but specifically asking Him what would He like for me to do today. How can my day be used to serve His purpose? How can it be better, more productive, and more successful if He directed my path?
Proverbs 16:3
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
I use to spend my days haphazardly trying to get things done. Trying to squeeze everything into what seemed like the few working hours that we have each day. But God makes it so much easier. Simply, praying and listening in silence and waiting for what is truly a priority, what will make a difference as far as productivity becomes vividly clear. A book that can assist you with your ability to hear from God, if this is an area that you may be challenged in is titled How to Hear from God: Learn to Know His Voice and Make Right Decisions by Best-Selling Author Joyce Meyer.
Make your day and your life successful by putting God and keeping Him first in all that you do, and He will direct your path.
 Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
