Hello all, and welcome to my new website. As “The Dream Job Doctor” I have shared helpful tips and advice to develop your career and assist you in making the most out of your employment experience. As we all know, there is a connection between our careers and our lives, between our passion and our purpose, between our daily routine and the choices that we make to live more healthy and productive lives. It is these connections that have drawn me to the conclusion that you deserve more than simply career advice. So although we are not saying goodbye to “The Dream Job Doctor,” because there is plenty of career advice to still share with all of you, let’s welcome “The Dream Life Doctor.”
I’m no longer in my 30s and quickly leaving my 40s, so maintaining a healthy lifestyle has become more and more important to me as I know it is to all of you. Staying fit and eating healthy, while working it all into our busy schedules can be overwhelming. But it can be done; I plan to share with you quick tips to work healthy habits into your life. Making ends meet seems tough these days, and sometimes we feel like we have to choose between groceries and gas—but no one should have to make that choice. I plan to share with you cost cutting tips from experts that have saved me boatloads of cash. What some of you may not know about me is my background in fashion (I’ve 13 years as a college professor in the field); you can expect updates on fashion and beauty trends too.
When the going gets tough, we may need an occasional boost to uplift us and encourage us. What has always centered me is my spirituality; therefore, you can expect uplifting and motivational posts to keep you going. Please know that you will continue to benefit from what I offered as the Dream Job Doctor, but with so much more: tips on health, fitness, finances, fashion, beauty, education, spirituality, and of course careers.
Finally, I hope you take an opportunity to enjoy my new book – Entering the Promised Land: A spiritual career and lifestyle guide of HOPE to escape the glass box. A podcast for this spiritual career and lifestyle guide is slated for release on April 3rd to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and honor the memory of his last speech “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.” In this speech, he mentions the promised land and predicts that he will not enter the promise land with us. Unfortunately we are all aware of how his prediction turns out. But Dr. King inspired a spirit of hope that still resonates today.
For all of you, the promised land represents your promise from God, a promise that your passion can be connected to your purpose, a promise that your life can be fulfilling and enjoyable, that you can begin living the life that you have always dreamed of – all you have to do is decide that you want something different for yourself and take ownership of it. Entering the Promised Land is a step-by-step guide to assist you in transitioning into a new life. Each chapter offers an executive offense strategy combined with a spiritual or biblical principle. When you subscribe to my website you will receive the Introduction and Chapter 1 Free.
